" Floyd F. Bentley, Baldwinsville, was born in Little Utica, town of Lysander,
Sept. 27, 1851, son of Edward, a native of Albany Co., and came to Lysander.
The family were of English descent and settled in Massachusetts at an early
date. Edward was engaged in farming and shipping potatoes, hay and grain. He
married Mary, daughter of Reuben Coffin. He died in 1881, aged 55 years."

Also, IGI Record (Film # 450969) for an Edward Bentley of Waterlo, Albany County,
NY in 1826 - June 11, 1826. The town should read "Westerlo"
He died in 1881 in Lysander, Onondaga County, NY. Edward was engaged
in farming and shipping potatoes, hay and grain. His farm is listed in the 1874
publication "Sweet's New Atlas of Onondaga County, New York". Starting
